Control Drinking   

“My drinking was starting to get out of control and was affecting my job and relationships. I usually binged on weekends and drank heavily during the week as well. My girlfriend said if I don’t quit she is going to break up with me.  Drinking heavily runs in my family, so I was a bit skeptical about whether or not this would work, but I knew a friend who used it to quit smoking and wanted to give it a try. Magical Moments in Hypnosis

Case History

Recently I had a 9-year old girl who came to see me for thumb sucking. After her first session, she was sobbing because she was so sure nothing had happened, and hypnosis didn’t work for her, and she felt desperate to change. One week later her mother brought her back to me and said that her daughter had some “good news” for me. Sarah (not her real name) reported that she hadn’t sucked her thumb once in the entire week, something that had never happened before. Several of her neighbors have come to see me since, and say that it’s been six months and they haven’t seen her suck her thumb once. The moral of this story is “your conscious mind is often the last to know.” So relax and enjoy the process.

Dear Rebecca,

Hope you are well and your business is flourishing! I know how much you have really helped me, and I hope others are getting as much out of their sessions as I did. Thought I would send you an update, and let you know how happy I am now well I am doing. Just got back from the gym and as of today I am down 33 pounds!

And my blood work looks fabulous! My doctors are so thrilled. One of them when she saw the results said to me, “Whose blood work is this?” Here is the comparison between February and June: Triglycerides down to 59 from 117; Cholesterol down to 156 from 201; LDL (Bad) Cholesterol down to 92 from 118; Hemoglobin A1C (diabetes test) down to 6.0 from 9.1. Blood pressure down to 134/74 from 156/110.

Exercise is going well. Thanks to the exercise motivation session we had, I now can’t get through a day without doing something physical–it bugs me all day if I skip it (unless it is a “designated rest day” which I have to give myself so I don’t cause an injury). Walked 3 miles 3-4 times a week, weight training 1-2 times a week. Feel so much stronger, sleep better, have more energy (who knew the doctors were right about that?).

So, remember my goal was to get out of women’s sizes and into the largest regular size (16). Well, remember the fabulous size 16 jeans I had just purchased and wore the last time I saw you. I put them on the other night and now they’re too big! I’m going out today to try on some 14s—that’s my next goal.

As you can see, things are going well. And the best part is that I feel so much more positive. Always in the past when I was one a diet, I knew the diet would end and that the weight would creep back on. I was always either on my way down or on my way up the scale. Don’t have that anxiety anymore. Food doesn’t control me and I don’t stress-eat anymore. People comment on how much calmer and nicer I am.

Also, my doctor is thrilled with the results and is giving out your brochures to her patients. She commented that she was almost out of them and was going to call you to get some more. You might want to send her some more brochures.

Searching for an alternative to medication

“About 8 years ago, something went wrong in my mind. I began to suffer from several issues ranging from anxiety and depression to a lapse in concentration and a depleting memory. I spent many of those years being diagnosed by doctors and psychiatrists as having Bi-Polar disorder, depression, ADHD and anxiety.
